T-Pain has been getting a lot of negative feedback over a chain he recently purchased for almost half a million dollars. According to the Tallahassee rapper, the "Big Ass Chain" boasts 197 karats and weighs an astonishing 10 lbs.
The backlash started once T-Pain, born Faheem Rasheed Najm, proudly posted pics of his 410 000$ chain on Twitter.
"What in the recession hell! He's wearing my student loans around his neck... WELL OBVIOUSLY Mr. Pain doesn't need my money or support... his next album is gonna start with a Lime and end with a WIRE!", vented a Twitter follower.
Another tweet described the rapper as being "ignorant". But, not every Twitter response was a negative one.
Exclusive defended the rapper by stating that everyone needs to stop hating on T-Pain because his "mansion is paid for...all 2.6Mill...everything is taken cared of over here...His kids school cost more than ya'll hater's college degree".
After reading a slew of unsupportive comments, the 23 year old rapper turned to Twitter to voice his frustrations.
"Let's celebrate the fact a black man can have things like this and still care for 3 kids and wife in a $6 million house with 32 cars", explained the Freeze rapper. "Oldest child 5 and already got 4 million in her own account. I don't do dumb sh*t like this till I know the fams good. So don't judge me from what I buy. Judge me from what I do. Cuz it's so many artists that put themselves before their family".
T-Pain debuted his infamous chain at the Hot 97's Summer Jam.
