Chris Brown To Larry King: I Can't Believe I Assaulted Rihanna
Excerpts from Chris Brown's first interview since the Rihanna incident, with legendary broadcast journalist Larry King, have hit the 'net, revealing the singer's feelings about the altercation and the female pop star.
"When I look at it now, it's just like, wow, like, I can't -- I can't believe that -- that actually happened," he said of his feelings when he sees police reports and pictures of Rihanna after the incident.
Brown who appeared alongside his mother and attorney, Mark Geragos also spoke on his sentencing, saying "everything comes with consequences. They want me to pick up trash remove graffiti... I'm a hard worker. It's something I'm willing to do."
In addition to the incident and legal troubles that followed, Brown also spoke on his abusive father and how it shaped the events of that fateful evening.
"I used to be scared to go to bed," he recalls. "Nobody taught us how to love one another. Nobody taught us a book on how to how to control our emotions or our anger... I wish I could have changed that night."
Although the court ordered the couple stay "like 10 yards away from each other," Brown says he still misses Rihanna and that they will "always be friends."
Chris Brown's interview with Larry King is scheduled to air on September 2.
Authorities: DJ AM's Death Was Not A Suicide
Law enforcement officials have been speaking out on the death of DJ AM, saying the turntablist may have died from an accidental drug overdose, not suicide as some sources have suggested.
On the word of unnamed sources, TMZ is reporting that AM, a recovering addict, developed a dependency on Xanax and other anti-anxiety drugs after surviving a near fatal plane crash last year.
He and Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker were the only survivors of the crash that claimed the lives of four others.
According to TMZ, AM was prescribed the medications because of his fear of flying, something he had to do frequently to fulfill his obligations as a DJ.
Although prescribed to settle his fears, TMZ says the medicine actually triggered a "recent" relapse.
"It very slowly and subtly reawakens addiction," Dr. Drew Pinsky, addiction specialist and VH1 Celebrity Rehab Host, told The Associated Press. "I'm not saying it was inappropriately prescribed; I'm saying he didn't know the risks."
In a stroke of horribly twisted irony, AM was set to star in an MTV special called Gone Too Far, in which he stages interventions with other people with problems with drug addiction.
DJ AM (born Adam Goldstein) was 36.
Is Macaulay Culkin The Biological Father Of Michael Jackson's Son Blanket?
According to The Sun, people are now saying that Macaulay Culkin ("Home Alone" star) donated sperm to help Michael Jackson produce his son, Blanket, with an unknown surrogate mom. Macaulay Culkin told friends that he will not comment on this matter publicly out of respect for Michael Jackson.
Culkin shared a close relationship with Michael Jackson as is evidenced by the fact that Culkin bravely took the witness stand to defend Jackson during his 2005 child molestation trial. Culkin serves as the godfather of Michael Jackson's other two children, Paris and Prince. In 1991, Michael Jackson selected Culkin to star alongside him in the music video for his hit song, Black Or White. Culkin was also a regular guest at Jackson's Neverland Ranch.
The speculation surrounding this matter will continue to grow.

50 Cent Confirms "40 Day" Cancellation
After reports of security concerns by local authorities and controversy about who was set to perform, 50 Cent has decided to pull the plug on his 40 Day community celebration.
50 was scheduled to perform and host the event at PS 40 in Jamaica, Queens today (August 30), but decided to call it quits and schedule it for another time.
"We are postponing it and working it out with police," 50's manager and Violator CEO Chris Lighty said.
Community leaders and local authorities previously voiced their concerns about the performenance, saying 50's past pay present a potential for violence during the event.
Although there will be no concert today, the rapper did bus hundreds of children from his old Queens neighborhood to Six Flags Great Adventure for a day of fun yesterday (August 29).
"I am constantly searching for ways to give back to the community that helped create me and contributed to my success," 50 said about the trip. "I can think of no better way to do this than to help improve the lives of the young people that reside there through programs created by my foundation."
DJ AM Found Dead, Reports Pour In About Drug Abuse
DJ AM was found dead in his New York City apartment on Friday (August 28), sparking reports about the role drugs may have played in his death.
Friends reportedly called police after not hearing from AM, born Adam Goldstein, for a few days.
Upon entering the residence, they discovered AM's body as well as crack pipe and prescription pills, a law enforcement official reportedly told the Associated Press.
Since his death, Celebrity Rehab host Dr. Drew Pinsky has come forward, suggesting AM's death may have been related to a relapse on painkillers.
"It very slowly and subtly reawakens addiction," Pinsky said of pain medication in an interview Saturday (August 29). "I'm not saying it was inappropriately prescribed, I'm saying he didn't know the risks."
Numerous reports are suggesting AM was first prescribed pain medication to deal with the pain from injuries sustained during his widely publicized plane crash around this time last year.
AM had previous problems with addiction and even teamed up with MTV recently for an Intervention style television show.
"I am a recovering drug addict," AM told the AP last month when promoting the show. "When I see it and I'm in their room and the paraphernalia and the whole lifestyle and everything, I still, 11 years later, have that little thing in my head that starts thinking, 'Oh, where's that? I wonder what that is?'"
As previously reported, AM and drummer Travis Barker were critically injured during a Lear Jet plane crash that claimed the lives of four others.
"Don't know how i am gonna play 2night but i am for AM," Barker wrote on Twitter. "My brother is gone. i love u and miss u, i'll never forget all the good times we had."
Juvie Asks Wheres The Hot Boys Reunion
Juvenile wants to know what happened to the Hot Boys reunion we were all promised. The one-time Hot Boys member (along with Lil Wayne, B.G. and Turk) recently spoke about the status of the group stating he was unsure what happened to the big reunion that they once talked about.
"They already gave me some money on that project but I don't really know what happened to that," Juvie said in an interview with XXL about reunion. "I would love to give people a concrete answer but all I can tell you is I did receive some money for that project. I don't know what happened with the business on everybody else so I can only speak on a Juvenile standpoint."

Beyonce Facing Lawsuit From "Project Runway" Star
A contestant from the widely popular Bravo TV show Project Runway is suing R&B giant Beyonce over costumes for her I Am... tour, reports say.
Chris March, the third runner-up in the fourth season of the reality show, has reportedly filed suit against Beyonce and the tour's creative advisor, Terry Mugler, claiming he has not been paid for the outfits he helped creative for the singer's worldwide trek.
March is now looking to collect $43,500 in damages, what he says he is owed, says CocoPerez.com.
Beyonce has yet to issue any statement on the bad news of March's suit, but she was hit with a stroke of good news earlier this week when it was announced that she would be the recipient of Billboard's 2009 Woman of the Year Award.
"Beyonce is multi-platinum artist and a multi-talented woman who clearly embodies the qualities of excellence and achievement that the Billboard Woman Of The Year Award was created to honor," said Bill Werde, Billboard's Editorial Director. "She has not only influenced pop culture with her hit songs and signature dance moves, but has inspired women everywhere with her unique style, business savvy and dedication to charitable causes."
"It is an honor to be named Woman of The Year by Billboard," said Beyonce. "I am humbled by this award."
Too Short Catches DUI In Las Vegas
Proving that what happens in Vegas doesn't always stay in Vegas, reports are coming in about rapper Too Short (born Todd Shaw) being arrested on DUI and drug possession charges in the "gambling capital of the world."
Las Vegas police originally pulled the raunchy rapper over for speeding around 4 a.m. yesterday (August 27) morning.
A search of his vehicle reportedly turned up less than an ounce of marijuana.
It is unknown if the DUI charges were alcohol related, as Nevada law says a person can also be arrested is they are under the influence of a controlled substance.
Published reports confirm that this is the Oakland rapper's second DUI in Vegas within the last three months.
If found guilty, Too Short could be looking at a suspended license as well as a minimum of 10 days in jail.
Too Short has led an impressive career with 17 albums released and over 11 million records sold in the U.S. alone.
His last album Get Off The Stage was released in 2007.
Juelz Santana Apologizes To Fans For Domestic Violence Arrest
Former Dipset affiliate Juelz Santana has come forward to speak on his arrest earlier this week on domestic violence charges stemming from an altercation with his girlfriend.
The Skull Gang leader took his cause to celebrity's new favorite means of communication, Twitter, and apologized to fans for what he seems to consider a misunderstanding further fueled by media reports.
"A! I would like to truly apologize to all my fans especially females that have heard or read anything bout me that may have disturbed you," he wrote. "A! Believe None of What you Hear, and Half of what you see & Always ask yourself, Where do people get their information from? Smh"
TMZ broke the news of the rapper's arrest on Tuesday (August 25) morning, saying the rapper was arrested outside of his New Jersey home for threatening to kill his wife in front of a child.
It was later learned that the woman in question was not his wife and there was no child present.
"Police were called to Juelz Santana's Home in Teaneck, New Jersey at 10am after an argument between him and his son's mother. LaRon James p/k/a Juelz Santana was then arrested and after review of the incident, police quickly released him. Santana is now back at his home," a statement from his rep read.
He was reportedly charged with making terroristic threats and released on $5,000 bond.
Ghostface Killah Blames Jay-Z For "Killing" Song
Ghostface Killah is pointing the finger at Jay-Z's D.O.A., blaming the rapper's song for putting a hurting on his Ron Browz assisted She's A Killer.
Ghost revealed his feelings to Best of Both Offices, saying he although he understands Jay's stance on the subject, he's still a bit salty about what the record and subsequent movement did to his record.
"I had Ron Browz on it," Ghost said about the track. "It was about a co-defendant of mine, she was real sexy and putting in work, real pretty and she'll slay you. She'll rock you to sleep and get whatever you got. She'd do anything, everybody liked her -- We let it out but then your boy Jay-Z came with that f*cking Death of [Autotune] sh*t and vocalled the sh*t and smashed my f*cking joint, you know what I mean? He smashed my sh*t with that sh*t, I understand, I felt like how Jay felt but when I did the record, I didn't care about all that sh*t, 'cause I'm just worried about me. So when he came with that sh*t, that 'Death of' a lot of deejays were on that 'Yeah yeah,' sucking his d*ck. And now left your boy out there with a record that would have been bubbling on some other sh*t though, you know what I mean? It's all good though."
There is no word on if the track is from Ghostface's upcoming R&B album, Wizard Of Poetry, but the rapper has been working on refining his inner crooner for his last Def Jam effort for some time now.
"I always wanted to do an R&B album," he told Rap Radar in a previous interview. "Since back then, but the name Wizard of Poetry been around the longest, since The Pretty Toney album. I just never got to it where it felt like go ahead and let The Wizard of Poetry, that name, out there like that. So it makes sense now with me doing an R&B album with a bunch of stories, explaining my story and stuff like that so I'm thinking, 'Okay, it's going together.' The Wizard of Poetry is telling my story, check out my poetry in Emerald City. I was gonna at first base the album around Wizard of Oz. That's where Emerald City came in. But you can't use the same likeliness, but I'm still gonna go the same way... It's more-less a musical joint, like n*ggas make music. I went, got nice R&B artists, told 'em go ahead and lay the hooks down, I'll lay the verses. And we just placed 'em together. Put everything in place and sent it out."

Chicago Rapper Bump J Accepts Plea Offer In Bank Robbery Case
Chicago rapper Terrance Boykin, professionally known as Bump J, has accepted a plea deal in a bank robbery case were the maximum punishment was life in prison. The robbery took place back in January 2007 when over $100,000 was stolen from Chase Bank on Madison St. in Chicago.
The terms of the deal, which was signed in June of this year, require Bump J to spend the next 7 years in a Federal prison. As part of the plea, Bump J also admitted to threatening bank employees with a gun. Under federal sentencing guidelines, Boykin who is 28, faced between 37 and 46 months in prison for the robbery itself, but life in prison for menacing bank employees with a .45 caliber handgun. He will be required to serve a mandatory minimum seven years on the charge of brandishing a gun during a crime of violence. He's scheduled to be sentenced by Judge Charles R. Norgle on Sept. 1.
Boykin wasn't arrested immediately following the robbery. It took authorities over a year and a half to finally file charges. He has been the target of a nationwide man hunt that was being led by Chicago's FBI office since September 2008. He was finally apprehended earlier this week after a routine traffic stop in Chicago. Witnesses believe Bump J had an accomplice during the robberies but he has yet to be named.
Bump J gained recognition by performing alongside other Chicago artist such as Kanye West and Rhymefest. He was also collaborated with DJ Drama for the release of his mixtape Chigacogrilla.
Jadakiss Releases Statement About Police Raid
Jadakiss released a statement yesterday (August 26) about the police raid on a Yonkers apartment that was listed in his name. During the raid, which occurred after a traffic stop in which police charged two suspects with possession of marijuana, officers found $42,000 in cash, along with six pounds of weed and 5 grams of heroin. The two suspects Gabriel R. Henriquez, 39, and Alberto Lajara, 25, were charged with second-degree criminal possession of marijuana, and second degree assault and obstructing governmental administration in the second-degree and criminal possession of marijuana in the fifth degree and disorderly conduct respectively. The police investigation is still ongoing. Jada issued a statement through MTV News regarding the incident.
"What happened on Saturday was an unfortunate situation, but one in which I have no involvement in," 'Kiss told MTV News exclusively Wednesday afternoon. "Since the release of my recent album Last Kiss, I have been on the road touring and promoting my project. I am focused on my performance schedule and career."
Jada was scheduled to go on a tour dubbed The Bosses with Cam'ron but the tour never happened. The two did however perform at several dated together.
Chris Brown Sentenced To 5 Years Probation With Strict Stipulations
Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Patricia Schnegg sentenced Chris Brown to 5 years of probation along with six months of community labor on Tuesday (August 25).
Other aspects of the plea agreement include Brown staying at least 100 yards away from Rihanna for the next five years unless they are attending an industry event. A probation report that was prepared for Brown's sentencing described two other domestic incidents between the former couple, neither of which was reported. The first incident happened about three months before the February 2008 beating while the couple was traveling in Europe; Rihanna slapped Brown during an argument, and he shoved her into a wall. In the second instance, Brown allegedly broke the front and passenger side windows on a Range Rover they were driving while visiting Barbados.
Brown's probation and community labor, which is actual labor as opposed to community service, will be performed in his home state of Virginia. Brown was also ordered to undergo one year of domestic violence counseling. Brown's initial sentencing was rescheduled because Judge Schnegg wanted assurance that Brown would actually perform physical labor. She was satisfied when she got a letter from Richmond Police Chief Bryan T. Norwood, which said he would directly oversee Brown's labor program. Rihanna's attorney, Donald Etra, said he didn't think the strict rules were necessary, but that he and Rihanna favored a less-stringent ruling that simply ordered Brown not to annoy, harass or molest his client.
"I am not amused with the chatter that has been on the airwaves and any violation of your probation in this case comes with the potential for state prison," Judge Schnegg told Brown during the hearing.
Brown was arrested February 8, hours after he was accused of beating Rihanna. The attack occurred in Los Angeles' Hancock Park neighborhood hours before both were scheduled to perform at the Grammy Awards.

Chicago Artist Malik Yusef & Kanye West Mess Up Big Time With New Album
Malik Yusef who planned on releasing his new album titled Kanye West & Malik Yusef Present: Good Morning & Goodnight was derailed because his label neglected to obtain proper clearance rights from labels and artists.
Universal Records quickly put a halt to the release, declaring that Kanye's name could not be used in the title and a few songs recorded with West could not be placed on the album.
More then that, label reps for Jennifer Hudson, Michelle Williams, KRS-One, Common and others were furious when they found out clearance had not been sought for the songs that their artists had made guest cameos on.
Additionally the track Chicago stolen from a local producer Hassan was never credited and the two will be appearing in court next month. Cease & Desist Orders piled up but ignoring these issues G.O.O.D. Music went ahead and released the album to minimal sales. Currently the RIAA and record labels are pursuing G.O.O.D. Music for any and all royalties collected.
Malik Yusef who recently signed a major publishing deal with Universal has many disgruntled employees who have not been paid for their hard work, but he has been seen in the clubs of Chicago with wads of cash buying drinks for everyone and spending lavishly.

Jermaine Dupri: Def Jam Is A Sinking Ship
Months after parting ways with one of the most well-known labels in the industry, Jermaine Dupri has broken his silence about he shockingly accusatory reasons why he parted ways with Def Jam.
Jermaine Dupri chopped it up with The Boom Box and disclosed his side of the story regarding stepping down from his role as president of the label.
"They [weren't] prepared for a person like myself," he explained. "They [were] basically out for themselves. I never was on a team like that. I was always on a team that was supportive of what I wanted to do and this time it was more like 'we need you to do this.' People know me to create new artists [and to] continuously come with new people. Once I realized I was basically on my own in that building, I said 'it's time for me to get out of here.' I saw the decline of Def Jam and I was just like 'I don't want to be a part of a sinking ship.'...[There's] definitely hard feelings because I'm not cool with people stunting my growth. I'm a person that keeps growing. Everybody knows the history of Jermaine Dupri. Everybody knows what I've done from day one from one group to the next, it was all new artists and you have to continue doing that. If you get in the way of that you stunt that growth. They [have] bigger problems to deal with, I mean I'm not running around like 'f*ck Def Jam!' I'm just saying I would not really deal with them ever again... It feels like it's a resurgence of independent labels...It just feels like the right thing for me."
Dupri reportedly parted ways with Def Jam back in January, after almost two years in the position.
This is the only statement the music maven has issued regarding his departure.
Brisco Robbed & Assaulted At Barbershop?
Florida based rapper Brisco was recently robbed, when four gunmen burst into Dade County barbershop and forced everyone to the floor. One of the men forced to the floor was Brisco, a rapper who started out with Poe Boy Entertainment and before eventually signing to Cash Money Records.
Reports began to surface that Brisco was pistol whipped during the robbery but reps for the rapper recently released a statement to the contrary.
"Contrary to some reports, I was not assaulted in the robbery that took place yesterday. It was a random robbery of a barbershop I was in and it really is just a case of me being in the wrong place at the wrong time," says the rapper.
The robbery which took place on July 29th was caught on the barbershops security camera. The robbers took the keys to Brisco's Range Rover along with over $35,000 in jewelry, which included a yellow-gold diamond watch, a bracelet, and a chain. They also took a Louis Vuitton wallet and more than $1,000 in cash. Three shots were fired inside the barbershop, but no one was struck. Police found the abandoned Range Rover about a mile away, but the robbers remain at large. Police said the robbers tapped one man on the shoulder and instructed him to leave the barbershop. Authorities are now looking for that man for questioning.
Bouncer Fingers C-Murder As Teen Murderer
The murder trial of Corey "C-Murder" Miller kicked off with testimony from a bouncer who claims to have witnessed the rapper shooting the 16-year-old victim.
The bouncer, Darnell Jordan Sr., told the court the he saw Miller shoot Steve Thomas as members of his entourage attacked him.
While he says he did not see the gun in Miller's hand, Jordan says he did see the muzzle flash come from the arm extended in Thomas' direction.
Jordan's testimony has been the source of controversy in the case, as Miller's defense attorney, Ron Rokosky, claims it is based on "coercive tactics," including his arrest, by the prosecution.
Prosecutor David Wolff defended the arrest, saying he had to resort to harsher tactics because witnesses were afraid to testify.
"Witnesses in this case have been threatened," Wolff told the press outside the courtroom. "Witnesses in this case fear for their safety."
Jordan admitted to being afraid of testifying at trial and lying when originally asked about how committed the murder.
"Who are you scared of," Wolff asked him. "C-Murder," he replied.
"I grabbed C-Murder and told him to chill out. He tried to weasel his way in. And when he did, gunshots, no, one gunshot... Miller stuck his hand under the pile. That's when I saw the muzzle flash."
Yo! Raps will keep you posted as more details in the case become available.
Chris Brown Officially Chewed Out Of Wrigley's Endorsement
Wrigley's has decided to officially end its relationship with Chris Brown in light of his recent troubles regarding the assault of former girlfriend Rihanna.
The company originally "suspended" their campaign featuring the singer, saying they "believe Mr. Brown should be afforded the same due process as any citizen."
The fate of his endorsement deal was sealed with he plead guilty to felony assault last month, says TMZ.
Chris Brown shocked fans this time last year when he revealed his song Forever was actually an advertisement for Wrigley's Doublemint gum.
Brown was amongst three artists tapped to remake classic jingles for the company's products.
R&B singer Ne-Yo was on hand for Big Red, while Julianne Hough redid the ditty for Juicy Fruit.
At press time, Brown had issued no comment on his loss.
